You can stick any turbo on any motor but your looking at new fuel injectors and other fuel system modifications as well as fabrication mounting points and air tubing. You have to drill and put a fitting on the oil pan for oil lines. If you can afford not to drive your truck for a few weeks you can get the turbo set up and running. If you don't know much about fuel injection systems and turbocharging then it would be a bad idea to do it yourself. Theres a few other guys on here that have run turbo and twin turbo v6's and they worked out pretty well. I'm goeing with an intercooled supercharger on my truck, the plumbing is a lot simpler.

the turbo on those minivans were a little bitty mitsubishi turbo that would be WAY to small for a 3.9. By today standards and technology, it would be too small for the same size motor. Kinda like the Turbo on the SRT-4 (2.4) is bigger than the turbos of the older 2.2/2.5's.

anywaz, you would probably make full boost at 1000 rpms. It would then quite making power say at 1500... and driving your truck to the redline of 4800 rpms would just cook that turbo.

Look for a turbo off of a buick regal or grand national. It would work better and be cheaper than a new turbo but idealy, try to get a TB04. Just call places like www.majesticturbo.com or turbonetics... they can give you ideas.
