Subject: Odd fuel injector question IP: Logged
Message: I posted in another topic that I picked up a set of 19# FMS injectors from a buddy with a Mustang when he switched to 24# injectors. I have to injectors left and a two friends with the same engines, can one of them mix and match the remaining two into their trucks with the stock injectors, or is this like cossing the streams in ghostbusters?

Message: If they are the same size injectors (lbph) you could probably get away with it and the engine would seem to run fine. However the power and fuel economy wouldn't be as good as it should be because the computer adjusts all the injectors the same on each bank. Since the new injectors would have a different spray pattern they would spray fuel differently than the other injectors and the computer wouldn't be able to control them as precisely.
