Message: I went cheap and just got a Magnaflow muffler. The performance gain was awsome compared to stock muff. ( '00 CC Sport )
From the posts I've been reading if ya go with a cat back on a 3.9 stay with 2 1/2 inch out.
PS
After a few mods its finally running the way I thought it would when I bought the 3 legged dog.

Message: I hear ya on that.
I added a Dynomax 17748 and kept stock pipes. Also added the AP3923s and an intense performance intake (stage II). Much better response and great pull from 2500rpms on up.
I'm still trying to get the 48mm F&B throttle body thrown into my budget....it has been a couple months and other things are still keeping me from getting that thing. Anyway, someday soon!

Message: The Dynomax 17748 and the factory single tail pipe
is almost the best way you can go on the V6er's
Save you money buying one of these 3.0 exhausts
all you will do is lose low end and empty your
wallet.
I have a 48mm F&B and its one of the best mods
you can do.
Cold air intake
V8 or after market TB
1.7 Roller Rockers
JBA headers and low restriction Exh.
Do these things in this order and you will have
a very nice running V6

Message: What does this exhaust sound like? I don't want to sound like one of those loud rice burners. If you know what I mean.
Thanks,

Message: The Dynomax is just a little louder than stock
You will not even notice unless you are listen
for the change,
They rap a little under hard exceleration but
not loud.
The Dynomax 17748 is the equivalint to the old
street hemi mufs they used on the chargers road
runners ect.
A 3. Gibson will sound loud like a ricemobile

I got it and love it its the perfect sound great performance gains and what was important to my me it wont rust like a flowmaster our dyno in the salt and snow. I did question it at first because it wasnt a big name but after running it for a while I love it!!!

Message: My Magnaflow is SS and has a life time guarantee.
I thought it sounded kinda ricey in the cab, but let a bud drive it around so I could hear what it sounded like outside and it sounds good. Low, mellow and not too loud.
( like the pops and crackles like a straight pipe when ya lug it, LOL )
F&B 48mm definately next on my list.
