Message: Replaced the TB on my 3.9 with a stock 5.2 It idles well but hesitates under hard acceleration. Is this the ECU learning as many posts have stated? Thanks for the help.

Message: Yes the systems on these trucks learn and adjust
to individual driving habits for best performance
and economy.
If you change the throttle body the motor will
be getting a bigger charge of air and it will
take about 50 miles for a short tearm learn and
after 2 3 hundred it will be fully adjusted to
maintain the proper air fuel ratio and give
you more power.
Almost every truck we have upgraded the TB on
also showed better gas milage as long as you
drive normal and do not get a heavy foot playing
the added power you will get.
A cold air intake system or at least a drop in
K&N filter will also give you better flow, more
performance and better fuel economy.

Message: yeh i just put my std air box with kn drop in
back on i personally think i lost too much
bottom end ihad ported v6 tb homemade 4"
fibreglass air tube tapers to 3.5 at reactive
filter, but you can still make it hiccup off idle
by bliping the gas just before it settles to
idle blip it again and it coughs
did have v8 tb on great mid range but could nt pull top end. i,ll save that for later when i get some more mods [rockers or gears or both]
o1 auto
