Message: I have a 97 Dakota with the 3.9. i would like to know if a computer out of a newer model truck would work. I am asking because i would like to get the super chips programer, but it is only for the 98 and later ones. I heard that Dodge changed the computers in 98, and that is the reason that the programer is just for those years. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Message: Thanks, for the info Larry, that looks like a good posability for me. I have a slighty smaller tire on my Dak, so i have hit the cut off quite a few times on the Interstate. The smaller tires make it read faster than its actually going. The cut off was a big reason i wanted one of the programers. Were you happy with the power gains that you got from the ASE chip?
Thanks,
Nick
