Message: I want to remove and clean my throttle body but am curious about the gasket. Will I need a new one after removing the TB? This is my only vehicle and the dealership is a 1 1/2 hour walk from my house (plus the fact that is -15 degrees celcius outside right know) so I really don't want to start without proper preperation.

Message: By all means, yes! You can reuse the old one, but you'll probally get serious leakage and it'll run like crap. I wouldn't expect the gasket to be expensive...
General rule, if you remove something and there was a gasket, replace the gasket!

Message: Bernd's Speedtweaks site has a really thorough section on throttle body cleaning in the Tips & Tricks. Get a new gasket, they are only $3-$4

Message: I just cleaned my Throttle Body last week and it runs so much better now. I was going to take the TB off and do it but I didn't want to remove all the cabels so I lifted it up off the manifold and put it in a small pan and shot it with cleaner. I picked up a gasket for $2.

Message: Whenever my truck gets hot, it stalls all the time until I get into second gear, i noticed that it happens more when it is cold outside. I have replaced the air intake motor. And it worked for a few months but now it is doing it again. Has anyone had this problem? I have heard it could be a dirty throttle body. What would you suggest. I have taken it to a couple of mechanics but nobody knows why?
