Message: well.....
i had a duramax on mine a month ago and dual exhaust and it sounded pretty pimp
currently ive got nuthin after the catalitic converter and it is really loud but it sounds soooooo good
and in the mail is a single outlet flowmaster 40 sereis which is supposed to sound really good and increase your hp, on this muffler they dont use packing so your free flowing and it sounds alot like straight pipes
but thats just what ive heard ill soon find out and let you know

Message: I've got a Gibson cat back on my truck. It has a very nice rumble at the exhaust tip but doesn't make a lot of noise in the cab. Good luck.

Message: Anyone have any luck getting headers for the 3.9L? I was thinking it might help with the power and fuel economy.

Message: i just had a shop drill out 3 broken exhaust manifold bolts and put my jba headers on the other day. my exhaust after my y-pipe is pretty baked so i think i'm gonna go with the flowmaster 40 series with the single outlet. should sound pretty sweet and have enough back pressure so i dont lose any power...
speaking of which, i jsut read the post above and if you remove your cat, need i remind you its illegal (not that anyone really cares) but you will probably get abnormal readings from your rear O2sensor and you will lose a lot of backpressure. these are things ive been told about the 3.9, up to you to believe them. the guy at the shop was tryin to tell me to go strait pipes off my headers, but im not gonna take that risk.

Message: You will lose power because your backpressure will be all screwed up if you cut the cats out. You will also have trouble if you run duals, becuase they are too free flowing for the exhaust set up. single in and out is the way to go on the 3.9 6 cyl. New intake and a throttle body spacer is a must

Message: I have a 2003 3.9l dakota slt. Right now i have a rusted flowmaster single in dual out muffler. I am thinking about putting a cheap generic muffler on (same single in dual out) with dual glasspacks coming out of the back and no cat. Also maybe no cat with straight pipes down to dual glasspacks out the back. Then again, maybe flowmaster supper 44 series muffler and dual pipes. Any ideas on what to do? I want it loud but throaty. I know its a v6 but would like to get the best sound possible and as cheaply done as possible. Any suggestions would be helpful...Just as long as it dosen't sound ricey!
