Subject: Bernd, give it a guess! IP: Logged
Message: What do you think horsepower figures would be for a V6 with: Cold Air, 48mm Flometrics, manifold work, head porting, 1.6 RR's, KRC cam (200 or 206), headers, catco, flowmaster, accel, PCM flash, any other NA goodies I left out? Just bored and curious what you thought.

Message: 35-50HP more depending on PCM flash, cam, and headwork. (That's a "gusstimate".)

Message: Piss on that. I won't even waste my money. Since I was 16 I wanted a V8. Now on my 4th Dak, I still only have a 6. Guess I'll just start saving now. I'll be back to the states in Jan 2004. I'll be moving to Lackland AFB in San Antonio to hopefully be a drill sergeant. I'll have to come by your shop to purchase my 408! Actually, what is a 360 with the 4" stroke and the stock bore? Can I keep my 42RE and just have it beefed up or do I need to upgrade? Long time off but I'm the type that has to plan WAY ahead.

Message: Well, I guess I'll keep the V6 and stick with the original plan: nice warmed over NA V6 to cruise in and a Gen II drag truck to play with. I have to own a V8 but it's probably best I keep it off the street ; )

Message: Don't stress on the HP figures as the TQ also is increased. With the proper combination, V8 performance (or very close to) isn't that hard to obtain. Those mods plus a supercharger (or nitrous) will give you better than V8 performance.
Power to Weight is what you want to look at as well.
