Subject: Ticking noise question IP: Logged
Message: I have an 89 dodge dakota 4x4 w/ 3.9L v6 in it. its got 156,000 miles on it, it runs good but its got this dreaded sort of ticking or pinging noise. i asked a couple people, they said either lifters, pushrods, or timing chain and gears. i was wondering if n e one new for sure. let me know. and also could i put a v8 TB on my engine? is it possible?? thanx for any input.

Message: No 89 is throttle body injection not mutiport
Most likly your timming chain. I had it on all
3 Daks I bought new after just 10,000 miles.
They usualy fail around 120 to 150,000 miles, some
make it over 200,000 just raping away.
