Subject: Whos got 3:92 ratio axles?

Message:
I need to upgrade my 3:55's for towing.
Whos got 3:92's that could give me an idea of my rpm change with a 4 sp auto ( OD ).

right now with the 3:55's my rpm's run:

70 mph with OD on 2,000
Towing speed:
55 mph w/ OD on 1,600
55mph no OD ( 3rd ) 2,100
55mph in 2nd 4,000

Problem I'm having is it shifts into 2nd too much when going up an incline. That 4,000 rpms really winds up the little V6. ( Driving in 3d while towing ) I know changing gear ratio will increase the rpm's, and at 4000 in 2nd now ( which I will need to do going up hills ) I dont want to wind up this little v6 too much.

I'm trying to decide if I should go with 3:92's ( like a factory tow package would have ) or go to 4:10/4:11's.

I have them in my new hemi truck.

They only raise the RPM 200 to 300 not that much.

I changed from 3.55 to 3.92 for a customer in a
94 ram and it makes a big differance.

Ryan sells the gears at a good price.

Changing gears is not just a plug and play, not
just a bolt on mod, You need a guage or an
indicator to set the pinion right you also have to
adjust the gear mesh correctly or they will be
noisy and will not last long.

If you are not familiar with a gear change don't
attempt it yourself.

Either find a quilified shop or just get the whole
assy from a bone yard and change it out.
