 Subject: 91 V6 Dakota valve body

Hey, is there some place that you guys could direct me to find out about replacing a lower valve body for a 91 V6 4speed auto. A friend has access to a new one, but neither of us have detailed info on how to change them. I know that when the pan is dropped, that's the valve body right there, but is it real involved to change? Do they just bolt right on?

The best source of information is a service manual. Yes they are a bolt in, they are a little work and expect to take a bath in tranny fluid. I found a site with pictures covering a transgo kit installation, I hope it helps. Make sure you use a torqe wrench on the valvebody to case bolts when you install your replacement.

that instruction page link , is probably close to the most involved confusing, most easily to screw up thing i have ever seen in my life!!!
