Subject: Head bolts, retorq? compression is? IP: Logged
Message: Should I retorq the head bolts while I have the intake manifold off? I'm changing lifters and timing chain, 135000 miles, 94 Dakota 3.9
Does anyone know how much compression I should get? PSI please

Message: Probably isn't necessary, with an engine with high milage i would worry about disturbing the gaskets, however i know that some manufacturers recommend retorquing the heads at certain intervals. Any dodge techs here??

Message: Not nessasary unless you remove the heads.
around 100 to 120 lbs 9.2 comp.

I also have all the manuals if you need something.
