if you live in a state without emissions testing, just cut it off and put a pipe in place of it, this will also give you about another MPG, old cats are horrible

doo it yourself, its simple! just saw the rusty cat off at its edges and buy a new pipe at the auto store for $15 and put it right there

You have to cut it off the truck to gut it so it's easier to put a pipe in there instead of trying to put the old cat back on.

you dont even need to know how to weld, yuou can probably use muffler clamps to secure the new pipe in there, but if you can weld, do it
