Subject: Radaitor Flush.... What do I need? IP: Logged
Message: Hello,
can some help me out. I just got off work and it's 2 in the morning. once I wake up and it's light out I plan on doing a raditor flush, on my 1996, 3.9 ext. cab 4 wheel drive. but my question is....
what do I need?
any tips or advice on what to do?
anything anyone can give would be helpful.

Message: Take your radiator hoses off and the heater hoses at the block. Use a garden hose and back flush the heater core. Block off the lower radiator outlet and fill the radiator with water. Pull the cap off the lower outlet, if the water gushes out your in good shape. If it doesn't, there is no easy or reliable way to rod out a Dak ratiator. It should be replaced. Do not use or try chemical flushes. They do not work and can damage heater cores and radiators. Hope this helps. Good luck.
