 Subject: 99 3.9 dakota quits

99 dakota quits strange messages on digital odometer. engine stops gas gauge goes to empty try to restart after a few try's gas gauge goes to normal motor starts operation normal. air is on lights on wipers on... today no air wipers or lights operation normal. battery 4 monts old voltage seems good...

I would check the alternator, just to make sure it is pushing the right amount of power. If you just recently replaced your battery, then this could be what caused it. Also were you having the problems before you replaced the battery. It could be something as simple as a loose ground.
I have alot of tips and tricks on my site, you may find something helpfull there also.

i am working on it now same symptoms battery at rest 12.6v with alternator running 13.8+-. message on odometer is "no bu5" when it wont start all insterments not reading odometer blinks 5 times get the mssage. checked grounds i cauld find checked connectors what a pain...
