well i run 16.22at 82.47 mph with a 2.24 60 ft, i have a 95 x-cab v6 auto, mods include a K&N open element, V8 TB, 180 t'stat, underdrive crank pulley, electric fan, MSD blaster 2 coil, accel 8mm wires, borg warner cap and rotor, 3923 autolites, no cat, 2-chamber flowmaster dumped, Mopar Performance Computer, roll pan, soft bed cover, 2" rear blocks, no decals, clear corners and turn signals. the diff is a 3.55 open. hopefully when taxes come in i'll be putting 3.9's in it and getting the intake manifold ported.

That's a pretty good time for a V6 Daniel. The 3.90's will help out right out of the hole...you'll definitely notice it. :)

With all the mods (not including the ones i've removed or thrown away), about $5000 including suspension.
I run JBA 9mm wires with the Borg Warner "Select" Cap and Rotor.
Yes, the V8 TB (48mm) will give you a noticeable "seat of the pants" improvement in performance. I personally run a 50mm Flometrics due to the supercharger.

i ran a 10 flat in the 1/8 and that would compute to about a 15 flat in the eight. that was with one heck of a traction problem (ever see an open diff go sideways down a track?). what kind of tires do ya'll (yes i'm from texas) use? i currently have dunlop gt qualifiers size 275/60/15. does anybody know of a good street tire that is also track friendly? i kinda need new tires on the rear but i don't want to buy some new street tire and some track tires.
i thought about the 4.10 gears but i'am worried about having worse traction.

i have a 98 rc with the V6 (of course)and 3.55 gears. i have done the following:
1.k&n filter
2.mopar cold air induction
3.modified stock TB
4.msd 6a ignition box
5.msd 8.5 wires
6.msd blaster 2 coil
7.crower 1.7 roller rockers
8.jba headers chrome nickle plated
9.jet stage II module
10.dumped flowmaster 2.5 inch 40 series
11.nitrous express 75 shot
12.and I fabricated a custom rear with ladder bars,panhard bar, comp eng. coil overs, and drag shocks.
I have that traction problem without the nitrous. When i ran the 1/8, i didn't use the nitrous till about halfway down the track.
I also have done some weight reduction..rolled pan, big hole in my bed (custom rear) and i started to shave the rear of the bed so i cut the insides of the tailgate off to weld it to the bed.
I also took out the factory bedliner...those things weigh a lot...oh and the spare tire and all of it's assembly and all of my heat sheilds (ecxept the one by the gas tank!!!!!!).

IntenseDak39...you run the Jet Chip with the NX kit? I would think this would harn each other seeing as the jet chip advances timing and you need to retard timing for the Nitrous. It sounds like you have a very nice truck..do you have pictures?

i haven't seen any problems yet. my biggest concern is that i haven't bought any good spark plugs for my truck so i replace the champions quite often to make sure everything is running alright. at $.89 it's not a big deal. the jet chip asks for premium octane which down here in texas is 93 and everything does just fine, but when i'm feeling extra frisky, i go to the local autoparts and buy the NOS octane booster offroad kind. it adds up to 7 points of octane and i usually mix that with a half a tank of gas. I see an improvement with my trucks performance with that stuff alone.
one day my truck will be very nice (i hope). right now the tailgate is primer because of the shave i am doing but so far it looks good.
sorry, no pics yet, i lack a scanner or a digital camera and when i get one it will probably take me a while to get them here because i am pretty retarded when it comes to computers!
Dakkid,
motive gear and richmond gear both have 4.10 gears for our applications...if you have the 8.25 and a 97 or newer, make sure to get the set for 29 splines. earlier 8.25 used 27 spline. you can find the richmond at www.summitracing.com.

My 92 Dakota CC with the AX-15 Tranny has held up very well. The first 13,000 miles were 1/4 mile at a time 15.90 @ 92 mph. I cannot complain at all. I havent been back to see what she will run now since the I Installed the CenterForce Clutch and Pressure Plate and Throw out Bearing. The only Mods i have done is Remove the plastic piece from the Air inlet,Underdrive Pulleys,K&N Air Filter,MOPAR SBEC CONTROLLER, And Shorten the Stick Shift By 2 inches that was the best Mod I ever Made she Barks 1-3 gear.

just for the record. jet makes all there chips to be able to run a 75 shot of nitrous with out have detonation problems

Wow, trucks are wicked on the 60 foot times! That 2.2 60 foot is wicked for very few engine mods. Trucks are weird though. You got a good 60 foot but really high 1/4 time.
Most a the people I know run 1.9-2.4 60 foots in their Neons and with a 2.2 60 they are into the 14's most definetly.
Crazy trucks. I bet a supercharged Dak could whomp most Sport Compacts off the line hands down!

ps. You guys need to hop in a Neon and blast down the 1/4 :)
Basic bolt ons to a dohc 5spd will get you deep into 14's. That and weight redux will be into 13's :)
