Subject: CALLING ALL COLD AIR INTAKE PEOPLE!! IP: Logged
Message: Does anyone drive a ram air gen2 in the rain?does the filter get too wet?I want to make mine with a custom air intake but I heard that with ram air driving in the winter is no good because snow will get pushed throught the ram air opening and in the rain i will suck in wet air that will soak into my air cleaner?IS THIS TRUE?how do i get around this issue?i live in the northeast and plan on driving in rain and the winter with my truck.im running a open element air filter now but i have no power once the engine warms up because im suckin in warm air not cold..gettin great gas mileage though...25mpg on highway with tonneau cover....

Message: Ram Air Gen2 hood i meant..AAR make a mean looking hood but i was afraid if i drove a ram air hood in rain it would suck in water along with air...i can't believe how many hoods i found for my Gen2 with either cowl induction or ram air...I'm glad no one forgot about us older trucks ..lol
Workin on making a custom CAI this week and started stripping and cutting out holes in my bumber for fogs and i just bought the dodge airdam w/foglights with the bumper too and grill for $200 on ebay!!!GOD BLESS EBAY!!
PS..the foglight holes in the airdam will be used for forced air induction like late model mustangs GT's have....i hope it works
