Well, we did some more "tuning" to the fuel system and IAT and now have some accurate numbers for the HP and TQ of this V6:

258RWHP / 357RWTQ

Add 15-18% for driveline loss (5-speed) and you've got 300+HP at the crank with PLENTY of TQ.

I'll have the dyno sheets on the website tomorrow as well.

Changed the FMU plate and "readjusted" the IAT signal...got about a 12.1:1 A/F ratio under WOT.

Bernd. How are you measuring the A/F ratio? ARM1? I have been looking at that for my truck. That is some TQ# holy smokes no wonder you broke that poor 8 1/4.

CW: The Dyno uses a Wide-Band O2 to "sniff" the A/F. That's how we checked it. (The WideBand is also much more accurate than the ones on the truck.)

IntenseDak39: FMU = Fuel Management (or Metering) Unit. It's a simple diaphram that raises the fuel pressure (via auxilliary inline fuel pump) when under boost. The different plates for it range from a 4:1 - 16:1. We just changed the plate to match where I wanted it to start raising the fuel pressure.

Bernd, you still got me man.

Are you saying you have a auxillary fuel pump and are just ajusting the pressure for it.

Also, i've heard that you cannot change our fuel pressure because our regulators are in the tank...
but when i took my bed off my truck to do the suspension work..there it was sitting on top of the tank..can you adjust them? on my old shelby you could put it's regulator between a vise and smash it (not a lot) to raise the pressure.

IntenseDak39: No, factory only has one fuel pump. With the supercharger, you need to install the auxilliary fuel pump and FMU (the aux. pump raises the pressure). The aux. pump is supplied with the S/C kit.

Alright sorry to sound dumb but is there a accurate, portable, and affordable wide band 02 sensor monitor. I have to drive a minimum of 2hours to get to the nearest dyno.

alright just one last question then. Which monitor do you recommend and should I use their O2 sensor or the one that is in the truck? Sorry that is a dual question. Thanks for your time.

Autometer for the standard application. If you need something more accurate (for fine tuning purposes), the SplitSecond ARM1 with seperate 4-wire O2 is one of the best for the weekend racer. (Wide-Band A/F meters cost too much for the daily driver.)

If you're installing an A/F gauge in the truck, you can tap off of the factory (Pre-Cat) O2 sensor, but this will (in some cases) change the signal back to the PCM slightly. Best bet is to run a seperate O2 (Single Wire works just fine) for the gauge.

Thanx Bernd you are the only one I know about that actually tunes these trucks. I will probably get it from you when you when you get some prices and I get some more money.

Yup...211RWHP without.

We compared the drilled NOS Jet to an actual 40HP jet and it's .002" smaller (on mine). This actually makes it about a 38HP shot.

Nitrous and a Supercharger make awesome power together. While either one makes plenty of power, the Nitrous "supercools" the intake charge which allows for higher HP figures due to the cooler air charge. (Also helps keep detonation from happening at higher boost levels due to the cooler charge, but you'll need to tune it on the fuel side.)
