Subject: Major Dakota V6 project IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys, gals.
I'm currently drivin' a 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe. I'm considering a major engine rebuild project using a Dakota 3.9 Magnum V6 motor. I'm looking for DETAILED information regarding available custom parts, such as headers, reforged pistons, downpipes, and DEFINITELY SuperChargers. I want to put mind-blowing horsepower and torque numbers to the wheels of my Strat, and build the most modern domestic super tuner car.
Feel free to email me - ViperMan@JeffreyStephen.com with any really good info you have. I appreciate it - thanks.

Message: Hey dude....hope you know that your 3.0 Mitsu engine in your Strat pushes more HP than our V6 engines. Why don't you just hook your 3.0 up with some port and polish, headers, and slap on that SDS (super charger) from Ripp Mods? You can get about 285 WHEEL HP with stock internals?!?

Message: Damn... I coulda sworn the Dakota V6 would give me more HP at the crank to start with. I also thought using a truck engine would give better durability to push some major NOS. A port-polish with new cylinders should cover that, though. The Ripp Mods kit is a good one (I'm a member of 2gStratus.org - know all about it) but 285 to the wheels isn't enough for me... *wink* Thanks for the info, DD.

Message: well... another thing is that the strat is FWD and requires a FWD tranny... damn 3.9 is rwd and different tranny bolt pattern.
there is a place called Forward Motion that deals with FWD Mopar performance. they have everything from a filter for your car to a full turbo kit.

Message: Actually, if I went through with the engine-conversion, I'd probably also lay down the investment to make 'er RWD. Man wouldn't that be fun...
