Buy a Haynes of Chilton manuel for 15 bucks. There is a band outside the tranny and one inside the tranny, but this is for a 92, whether or not they're the same i dunno. But you need a socket to loosen the nut then you can turn to tighten or loosen.

yes ,, get yourself a haynes manual for your year dak-- there are 2 bands -- you can't really do them right without a good torque wrench-- you need a 3/8" inch wrench using inch lbs. -- if you have a good 1/2" drive using foot- lbs-- then just multiply by 12 to get inch lbs. but remember that it only calls for beteween 20- 50 inch lbs so that is only-- about 2-4.5 ft./lbs, so the right torque wrench is a good investment-- you lossen the band lock down nut and then loosen the adjuster according to the correct number of back off turns and then tighten it down to the required torque in inch lbs.- retighten the lock nut-- new filter and fluid - replace pan [ with new gasket] and fill and warm it up - fill and run and check in neutral until after about 7 miles of mild drive/warmup it is in the full range--- but- if you bang shift every other block at redline- no tranny will last forever--
