Message: Well, mine is by no means a highest miliage dakota, but I got 110,000 miles, club cab, 4X4- I haven't really replaced anything on the engine just tune ups and oil changes. The tranny is starting to go out. lets see how much longer it will go.
My brother has a VW Jetta with 130,000 miles on it, still running strong. regular oil changes and stuff.

Message: I have a '91 5-speed V-6 with 116,000 miles, hope for at least 200,000. Bought it used about three months ago, so I have no idea what all has been replaced, but it seems to run OK. Repairs since I have had it include new radiator, brake master cylinder, new rack and pinion, replaced all belts and hoses, recharged AC (134a conversion kit, now works great), and replaced fan blower moter resistor (fan did not work at all when I bought it but now has all speeds, thanks to info from this webpage).

Had MANY problems with it when I first got it. Past 1.5-2.0 years, noting major, or nothing non-self-inflicted.
Currently has rough idle on startup.

Items I know NOT original:
Front Bumper(s), Front Diff Gears, Grill, Hood, Both Front fenders, front Lighting & Assembly's, Driver door, Mirrors, Windshield, Rear axle/Diff & Gears, Rear Bumper, Engine, Tranny, Turn signal indicator, Rims, Tires, Lugnuts, Brakes, Rotors, Master Cylinder, Both driveshafts, Ball & Universal Joints...
I have a good feeling IS original:
Most (Whats left) of the carpet,Cab, Bed, Seats, Pass Door, Rear Speakers (Blown), 4X Shifter handle.
Dashboard, stereo & Computer box is Questionable.
It still runs, Barely, and only left me stranded 4 times in the last year.
BUT, I still Luv my Dak. Think it's tuff luv :)

Message: 92 LE RCSB. 243K miles. BUT, I must confess. At 240K miles, stupidity on my part required the engine to be rebuilt. Cannot compress water (stupid laws of physics). Tends to instantly fatigue connecting rods. I wanted to hit 300K all original. Now I'm shooting for 500K with the rebuild. We'll see. BTW, I detailed it last week (it gets it about once a year). Actually had some compliments. Still looks good inside and out.
