Message: So who was the first to get the new programmer? I am really interested in getting one and I am wondering if it is all that and a bag of chips.

Message: Hey guys, just got off the phone with a tech named Ken at Superchips. Just some extra info on this programmer. Per Ken this programmer in a way leans out the fuel mixture to make our trucks run better. While they were researching they found that our trucks run rich for the most part. Anyway, he said that using this programmer with trucks that are modified(i.e. throttle bodies, headers) might not give you the power that you think you should get if any at all. He says that these items already lean out the fuel ratios and that if the fuel is leaned out to much then it will do more harm than help. I thought that they caused the truck to use more fuel. I am by no means an expert but if anyone has some input I am willing to listen.

Message: If that's the case, then throw on some higher # injectors and at least you get the timing advance from it.

Message: I do know that these trucks do run a little rich off of the PCM. For what reason I'm not really sure, but to get Volumetric efficiency would be nice.
Wouldn't want any other!
