It has plenty of power. I would just change the gears. Maybe a 4.56 or so would be ok. I have been in a Suzuki Samaria that had 36's with that little weasel engine and it went ok.

It should push them fine. My friend has a 3.9L 2001 SXT 4x4 and it pushes his 33's just fine, so the 35's shouldn't be much different.
