Subject: 1994 - stalls every mile IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1994 Dakota V-6. It has 114,000 miles. When I drive it, it "jerks" a little and stalls. I will pull it over, turn off the key, then turn on the key right away. It starts right up. About a mile later, it repeats this process. One time it stalled going down hill. As I coasted a little, I got gas again and kept going. Is the fuel pump shot? I checked the sensors and no codes showed up. The plugs, wires, cap & rotor are 1 year old. The exaust is 6 months old. I just want an idea before I need a dealer to look it over.

Message: dak94ota...Sounds like a fuel problem.A few things to try...
Disconnect the battery & clear the computer when this happens to see if it will run. If it runs, you can eliminate fuel pump, filter....
I would also check the oxygen sensor. Unplug it from the harness & use an ohm meter. Connect ohm meter leads to the white wire leads - should read 5-7 ohms. If it reads open (infinity) replace sensor.
A thoughts...good luck
