Message: When December 2003 arrives I will have already had 10 years
enjoyment from my Dakota and many more to come.
I don't even have any rust on this truck, I have changed the oil
and filter every 3,000 miles Trans filter and fluid every 30,000
Rear ends every 50,000 once so far and grease twice a year.
Now with the Amsoil I change the filter every 3,000 and oil every
6,000 and never had to add a drop of oil in-between.
Regular scheduled tune ups
2 coats of wax in the spring and 2 before winter.
Never has been to the dealer for anything because nothing has
ever gone wrong.
The Dodge Dakota is one hell of a vehicle. Don't let anyone
tell you any different.
Just turned 84,000 miles so its just broke in.

Message: I'm with ya there Larry.
I have in the past pledged my allegiance to E bodies but in the this newer age am finding more and more redeeming qualities in a Dakota, I especially like the V6 (even though I've been a few parts short of droppin in a v8 at times) for its response to each and every mod I've done to it and better yet the really pissed off looks when I spank someone with an 8.
Thanks for this post...all with Dak and/or Dak6 appreacion should point it out on this thread.

Message: I have to agree with you guys there.
Although I am not a registered member of this site, I do own and love my v6 dak. I first loved the looks, but now as bolt ons go on, I am starting to love the engine. I have an 02 Sport Plus, 3.92 gearing, 360 air intake, carbon fiber taillights, clear corner lenses, windows tinted, F&B throttle body and checkmate fx tonneau on order. Cat back exhaust in the works. I bought the 3.9 and not the 4.7 because I love adding performance parts and accessories and I have heard that there is really nothing you can do with a 4.7 to improve the engine. I LOVE DAKOTAS, and I tell everyone.
