Message: i have looked this site over and cannot find the answeres to two of my questions.
Where is the egr valve exactly at, and how does it work.
And will you gain anything from taking it off.

Message: Exhaust Gas Recirculator
it recirculates some exhaust gas back to the intake to help with emissions. Some say it helps to remove it and i have personally had no difference in performance on my other vehicles when removed. It is located at the very rear of the intake manifold... i believe on the passenger side. They cut them off after 95 models i believe.

Message: Yes, they cut them out after '95. It's the tube at the rear of the passenger side exhaust manifold that screws into the back of the Intake. Everybody wants a Cold Air Intake but then the EGR is sucking hot exhaust back into the manifold. ????? I was contemplating attempting to defeat this Item but only 1 Disaster @ a Time!
