Subject: A500 tranny shifts out of overdrive @60m IP: Logged
Message: I have a '88 dakota 2wd v6 auto. with a 3.90 rear axle. My problem is when I'm on the highway my tranny shifts out of overdrive @60-65mph.I think it shifts from 2-3 too soon also, I'm in third @25mph. I have changed the tranny fluid and filter but it didn't help. Would this be a sensor problem or can I adjust the tranny cable for later shifts to cure the problem.This truck has almost 200K on it , it shifts fine and doesn't slip.
