Subject: 90 Headers IP: Logged
Message: I'm having one heck of a time finding aftermarket headers for my 1990 V6 3.9L Dakota. Has anyone else had any luck, and if so, where should I go to find them? Thanks for any help.

Message: Edelbrock has shorty headers. Dont run them if you have a body lift. The driver side hit the steering shaft then. Summit has them. I have had mine for a couple years now. Had to replace both gaskets but I do like them. Good Luck.

Message: I know of only two companies that make headers for 1988-1990 Dakotas: Edelbrock and Mopar. The ones from Mopar are made by JBA.
I recommend the Edelbrock's.

Message: The mopars have some wierd things do deal with. Something like there is no oxy sensor plug in or something like that. The edelbrocks have worked well for me. Good Luck.

Message: the o2 sensor is in the y pipe right before the flange you can use the same y pipe if you want or have the exaust shop make you a new fitting for the 02sensor in or after the y pipe
