Subject: ac/heat blower motor IP: Logged
Message: My blower motor suddenly quit working. The ac compressor still works, but no air moving. I checked the fuse under the dash, but to no avail.
Question.........
Is there another fuse somewhere?
Thanks,
daveo.

I have a 92 Dakota and had the same problem. On the 92 there is a set of resistor coils mounted on the firewall. All you see from the engine compartment is a flat plate with 2 hold down screws, and a wiring plug. This is on the passenger side of the compartment. If you pull this out you will see the resistor coils, and one will probably be burned out.
I don't know if the 96 has the same setup. But I hope that this helps.
