Message: I see in a lot of your posts with your mods a 185
thermostat listed, were did you find one.
I got engine to cold with the 180 and went back to
the 195. 185 would be just right here in northern
Wisconsin.

Message: The ASE Chip Has a little gain I would say about
10 RWHP over stock with Jet Stage 2 but I take a
1 to 2 mpg hit to get it if you drive like a
nut, I Would Never LOL
Yes worth it if you want to squeeze a little more
out of your truck.
Stock and Stage 2 show an increase for me of about 1mpg
with very little loss in perf over ASE
I am also running a different cam with the 1.7's that is
showing some real nice gains. More duration same lift.
My ASE is being reprogrammed for the cam.
The problem with the 180 thermo is not heat but a code 17
engine to cold to long. I wrote to stant and they do not make
a 185 that will fit the Daks.
I am ready to go to my local jobbers and make them take every
185 off there shelf and let me measure them. We do
lots of business with them so I am sure they won't
yell to load they get a check from me every month
for parts we get from them.
