After much thought on things that could be done to my 3.9 and the end result and cost of those compared with what I am looking for, I have decided that I may just want to drop a 318 in the old truck. Problem is this; I am not a motor head, so I could not do it myself. How would I go about procuring a 318 and where could I get it installed. Are there shops that order and install, and if so, do you retain functionality of all original options? How difficult and more importantly, how expensive is this whole process? Anyone from the area mentioned in the subject have any good suggestions?

The best place I have found is at Performance Machine shop on Camden road in between Hope Mills Road and Owen Drive. Its hard to get your vehicle in (High demand)there but it is well worth the wait.

ask around at those two truck accessory stores over there on owens drive, right off of 301, going towards cape fear valley hospital.
the only other place i'm familiar with is a truck repair(custom repairs)garage off exit 87 on I95N.
some of the trucks i've seen going by on my way to smithfield are really boss looking. I think they build some just to sell them.

heard a radio advertisement this morning on 101.5 fm.
a place called engine stores on new bern ave in raleigh does engine swaps and rents cars during the swap.
