Message: Those trucks are light and can be pretty quick. I would say intake, throttle body, exhaust and a 3 pulley set would be your best bet. I sell all of those for your truck on my website, check it out.

Message: i not only have a ram with a 4.7 with a thron rod (need a new engine for that truck) the V6 you have is a 3.9L V6 right? you can get that 6 a supercharger that goes on the 5.2L and or the 5.9L depending on what year you have. i know my V6 can take the 5.2L and the 5.9L supercharger. but my V6 is a mag. you can get intake, egust, heads, throttle body 5mm plug wires. thats what i have on my dakota and i am killing hondas, toytotas, and many others. i still have not beet a V8 YET with that truck.
get some heads, intake, egust, 5mm plug wires, throttle body, and dino the motor in so that the motor is running at peek performance. that will let you distory thous go fast wantabees.
get som nitrous to add more power.

Message: A good Throttle Body and the 1.7 rockers will
give you some nice gains.

Message: If you are blessed with a stick in that truck it already hauls. Your question however was to increasing the performance. What you have to remember is that the amount of air going through the motor is the limiting factor to horsepower. We were all blessed with the "beer barrel" intake on these trucks. They are great for adding low end to the truck, but do to the length of the runners they will kill off the top end. To me it sounds like your trying to get this truck to run high in the RPM band (above 3000). My suggestion's would be a throttle body the cheap way is off a magnum 318 or you could get one of the v6 pieces that have been worked on. Next get a good exhaust system installed from at least the cat back. If you can afford it have and exhaust shop make you a custom system from the y-pipe back. Make sure you get a new high flow cat. In your case i would say stay away from headers. Reason being that you probablly have the better (read larger diameter) exhaust manifolds from the factory. If i can find the part numbers i will post them for you. If you still want more the next step would be roller rockers in the 1.7 ratio. What they do is make the engine think that you have installed a bigger cam. Basically you are opening the intake and exhaust valves farther than stock allowing more air through the engine. I know this was a long post, but it seems that everyone just wants to tell people what to add to their truck and not tell them why it will help. Oh one last thing. Dont take this the wrong way, but make sure you can drive. You would be amased how many people will add a god awful amount of perfomance equipment to a vehicle and not have a clue how to harness it. Anyway I hope this helps ya.

Message: He was questioning the "5" that you said for the size. The mm/millimeter wasnt in question. 8-8.5mm wires is more like it. Can you please proofread your posts. They make very little if any sense most of the time.

Message: goodyear, the 4.7 is comming along grate, the block HAS VERY LITTLE DAMAGE TO THE CYLENDER #6 WALL :) i am going to smouth the wall out on all 8 walls. THEY NEED IT BAD. dut i am having trouble finding cyenders for the 4.7L.
The ones that i have got, from the factory i am using. they are smouthed out so no rough edges are on them.
the block now is clean and free og metal shavings. i do need new valves for cylenders #'s 5-8 because the #6 put matel shavings all up in the valves.
