is there a difference in the 88 and 89 dakota 3.9 computers? all of the parts of the engine seem to be the same, but for some reason, everything is made for 89s and up, and if there is a difference in the sensors, could anyone tell me what they are

Hey Spencer not sure about the 89-89 computers but I posted a similar post and havent had any replies....if you dont mind my asking , how did you determine that your computer was bad ?

its not bad, its just that jet makes a chip for the 89 computers, not the 88s

Hey I was wondering if someone can help me find a single mod eng ctlr for a 93' dodge dakota 3.9 ltr. engine....automatic transmission...i really need to find this part..if anyone could tell me where to find it i would appreciate it.

Well if that is what he ment.
You can get a 92 93 mopar performance PCM that
will work on 92 to 95 manual or auto trans.
SMT6 you can adjust timing and fuel
perfict power http://www.perfectpower.com/
The jet chip will not work we tried one on my
88 3/4 ton 318 for a 89 and it would not start
