Message: I have a 99 Dakota with a V-6. It would over rev
in between changing gears unless I let off the gas
pedal. And twice it didn't down shift into 1st
when I came to a stop. I replaced the VSS vech
speed sensor and no more engine light and no more
transmission problem. Hope this helps someone
out there! It drove me crazy for awhile.Easy to
fix, sensor is on left side of trans tail housing
at about the 9 o'clock position. Goodluck!
