I was at the Performance Warehouse show this Sunday and I talked to some reps from Superchips. They are adding Dakotas and Durangos to their #3715 programmer! What is even better is that it includes 3.9L V6's!!!

I have preordered one and will be waiting until the end of the month to get mine. The programmer will save the stock programming before uploading the new one. It controls speed limiter, rev limiter, fuel curve, trans shift points and firmness. The trans stuff is fixed so you can't play with their settings but the rest is programmable from what they said.
All I can say is sweet! But I can't wait! :)

Wow, they must have just changed it. This morning it only said 5.2 and 5.9. Right on. I'm glad to see there's more than just Jet now.

I can post an update when I get the programmer from Superchips if there is an interest.
I'll see if there is a dyno in the area, I think there is, to do a run with the stock setup and then a run with the Superchips setup.

Hopefully I speak for everyone here when I say hell yeah we're interested!
Do you have any info from Superchips on what kind of gains you can expect? The price is kinda spicy if the increase is marginal.

Give Mike Troyer a call. He's the owner of Performance Products as well as a Superchip's Distributor. He sell the Micro Tuner #3715 that will fit the 1998-2003 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 engines.
The tuners sell @ $325 + Shipping & Handling. These guys give great service and tech help. He's a great guy to talk shop with. Give him a call @ (540) 862-9515.

Well finding a chassis dyno around here is not easy. The one place I knew of went out of business. There is another place that I just found and it is $100 for three runs (Monday through Friday) so I'll have to save up some funds and get a day off (yeah right) some time soon. I'll make a pass with the stock setup, then one with the Superchips, then if it needs some changing I can see if it helps on the third pass. Hopefully that will be all I'll need cause $100 is a bit much for me to spend right now. I'll post a complete dyno report and a behind the wheel report on the effects of the Superchips programmer.
The programmer should hopefully be in my hands by the end of May. I'll try to get setup to do a test say the first week of June.

It's about time someone did somethin for the v6 guys. Jet screwed my truck up. Had to get a new computer. The dealer tried to tell me it was the msd. Luckily It was all under warranty. Hope the dyno an the chip produce good numbers.
