Subject: V8 exhaust on V6...Possible? IP: Logged
Message: I HAVE A 1999 DAKOTA SPORT V6 AND I AM GOING TO BUY THE CERVINIS SNIPER KIT, BUT THE EXHAUST SYSTEM IS MADE FOR A V8.WHAT PARTS DO I NEED TO MAKE THE EXHAUST FIT ON MY TRUCK?HOW MUCH WOULD THE PARTS COST?WOULD IT BE TO MUCH OF A PAIN IN THE ASS FOR THE MECHANIC?

If you shop around and look at cat-back kits you will find that most will fit the 3.9-5.2-5.9 with that said it seems logical that they share the same exhaust components. I do know that they all use 2.5" pipe. Only the r/t mihg thave something a little different.

Message: what do you mean cylinders? the thing i heard i would need is something like a connector or something. i heard the pipes are alittle bigger on the V8 than the V6.

Message: LOL. the v8 has two more cylinders than a v6. therefore there would be two more inlets coming out of the engine bay.
