22.2 mpg on a computer reset and new throttle
body learn F&B about 70 out side
I have asked many dealers and people that work on
these trucks and most say its just a fluke I hit
25.8 one day on the way back from a weeding 85 out.
Starting to run very crisp. Its A Fun Ride!!
Runing stock ECU with jet 2.
I also have a higher stall converter about 300
over stock. 2200 is where it starts to pull very
nice I am shifting at 4200 3/4 throttle runs strong from 2200 to 4200
Very nice on the hyway.
no lights in 150 miles.
knock on wood.

Message: Larry,
yeah when i had basically those mods i was achieving the same gas mileage... although i usually got 20 mpg city and 25 highway. Right now i am running a little richer and i think i might try to get a jet chip again... i know people knock on em but i had one and i know i got better mpg with it and about .2 in the eight.

Message: There is a lot of people complaining about the jet chips,
I was very skeptical about buying it but thought I would
give it a try. For the gas mpg gain
30 to 50 degree weather I was getting 19 to 19.5 stock comp.
with the jet stage 2 it went up to 20.5 same weather nothing
else done to the truck. Just for the mileage gain it was worth
the $230 I paid for it. Bought it new not an ebay chip.
There is a better pull 2500 at 3000 it pulls nice WOTS with
the F&B 48mm get wild when you romp her up to 80 - 90mph
on the back roads running it up to 4500 in the gears.
The ASE chip has a small gain over stock with jet 2 but it
hits the mileage about 1mpg for the gain.

How do I tell if my battery is a heavy duty?

Message: its the black box that runs the width of the truck and usually hangs below the bumper and has a 2 inch opening in the middle of it to put a receiver in, it has a much higher tow rating than the bumper, check the battery to see if it is maintenence free, the tranny cooler cools down the transmission when you are towing to keep it from overheating and breaking

There is alot more to this issue too. I think they charged me way to much for the truck. I'm thinking "breach of contact". It states that I have a towing package, power everything, alarm, bed liner...ect. I have a VERY manual truck. Thanks for your help with this. I'm going to make heads roll over this!!

Message: Here is a little insite Larry. I bought the truck in March and put new plugs and wires on it. I changed the tranny filter and although it needed it that didnt seem to help. It has run this way since I bought it. Just recently(last week) the check engine light came on and the codes it gives me are a 12(memory stand by power lost), And 2 code 32's(EGR system). How do I cure the memory loss code??? I believe the piece I need is the Transducer for the EGR. Im not positive thats what it is called but it is the piece with the electrical connector and the vacuum lines going to it on the right side of the EGR valve. Also why would it give me 2 code 32's???? Any ideas? Do the gen II Dakotas have the IAT sensor?? I have a sensor on the right front side of the intake that Im not sure what it does. Maybe the IAT? Well I guess thats about it for the DAK...Im kinda new to all the computer controlled stuff. I can work on the old school stuff but Im still learning the new stuff
Thanks

Thanks
