Naw, not every chick hates dodge. One of my friends at school, she hadthe best shirt on. "Bite me chevy boy, real men drive dodge" I thought it was a pretty awesome shirt for a chick, however, I'd change chevy to ford.

A friend of mine's girlfriend just bought a quad cab '03. I let her drive mine for about 15min and she liked the way it drove. She said it wasn't too big, and liked the 4 doors. I have the 5-speed 3.9 with a bunch of mods, she ended up getting the 4.7 auto!!!

The only reason I went with her was because she
told me that dealers treat her like shes dumb and
wanted me to help her pick out her new Durango
she had a 01 Durango
So I did, I know the guys up there very well have
bought many trucks and cars from them, don't deal
with the local chrysler dealer

Dodge chick here. First car was a 91 Daytona CS w/ z-rated tires and a 4cyl. 5spd. engine in it. Got rid of her cause I got a 96 Grand Cherokee Limited. Nice car, def. an upgrade being that it's a V8 and I ditched the stock 225/70R/16s for 255/70R/16s. Gotta love the way ya sit high. Done a few exterior modifications besides the tires...but now I'm looking to go back...dream truck is a Ram, but with gas prices the way they are and what not, I gotta get somethin a bit smaller. Lookin at a 98 Dakota...need a truck-gotta have a truck. Dodge is great. Ford sucks, and Chevy's smack-dab in the middle. Anyone have any advice in my Dakota search?-Let me know.

Check the ball joints - they are notoriously bad. If they need replacing, go with Moog. The stock ones are ungreaseable. Don't let a dealer replace them - they won't sell you just the ball joints but want to replace the whole assembly with the same crappy parts for around 4 times the cost of Moog.
The stock cats suck - the 98 is probably at the end of the emissions warranty so check that the cat is good. The front rotors are probably warped. Mine are, but it still brakes great, it's just annoying. These could be bargaining points if you are buying from a dealer. Also - check the spare. It could be an ugly, plain, steel wheel. (Mine is)

Icky! I just went thru the rotors on my Jeep like 2x this year. Damn Chrysler...but I love it! Anyway, Lesley, THANK YOU! I'll def. keep those points in mind. If anyone else has anything to add...PLEASE DO!!

well, my boyfriend (longterm) has a dakota, 1999 v6, with high miles, and uhhh well whats his is mine.... lol i love his truck. "our" truck is a 2wd, and it seems to show up his friends who all have chevys and f!@ked fords, when we offroad. and they have 4x4's. this little dakota preforms very well. in more ways than one.. .lol

Well, I don't consider myself a chick anymore, but not quite an old Hen just yet, either, LOL. My first car (sometime in the 70's, all I will say) was an 64 Olds F-85 Convertible 4-speed, ran like hell, 2nd a 64 GTO, 4 speed, also ran like hell, but a couple years later, got my first real car. A Mopar and have had nothing since. First was 68 Roadrunner-383, and then a Bright yellow w/black hood stripes/70 Charger R/T with 440 magnum. From then on has been all Mopar! Now days tho, just my 97 Caravan Sport and my little 88 Dak, that I love. Eventually I plan to get a new Dak or Hemi Ram. My dad always had mostly Mopars too. The main thing I realized at a young age was Mopar, wheither just a family type vehicle or whatever always seemed to have a special umphff (if you know what I mean) that other vehicles just didn't seem to posess. Dodge (Mopar) is the only way to fly!!!
I know other chick's (women) that have Daks or Rams, also. Lot's of them here in MO. Which is a Ram Capital, with the St.L plant and all.
Please pardon my rambling, LOL.
