Subject: 2" or 3" body lift? IP: Logged
Message: i have a 99 dakota, 3.9L 4x4 with 31x10.50's. i dont have the money for a suspension lift so i was thinking of a body lift but i dont know if it will look stupid with the 31's. i also heard that you can see right through the box when you do it. anyone know anything about this stuff>

Message: I dont think it would look bad with maybe a 2" lift with your 31's, but it is true about being able to "see thru your box". Theres a gap in between your body and frame when you do a body lift, They do make wheel well inserts that cover it up, or you can make your own out of vinyl. Check out some off Road or 4 x 4 sites to get some ideas.

Message: I have a 97 dakota sport 2wd. I have 31's on it with no lift at all. I don't have any problem with them rubbing. I do have a lift kit that I want to get rid of. I never put it on. It's a suspension kit. All it is are bigger springs and add-leafs. It will give you around 2.5 inches of lift and you don't have to change anything. If interested email me at jusmcleod@hotmail.com
