Yes they can but you are talking apples and oranges. If you want a V8, your going to have to buy a V8. If you just want to beef up your 6, don't expect miracles. Keep in mind Bernd has done no head work, very little manifold work and is running a stock cam. He has quite a bit more potential. Low 14's most likely.

no im quite happy with my v6 i just wanted to know what to expect for max performance from them. i dotn want to run nos and i want to keep my truck street legal. cops would have a fit if they pulled me over and i was running nos =] i have a 2001 rc 4x4 dak, and im going to keep it forever considering its my first vehicle (im 16) so i want it to be the baddest truck in these parts =]

nos is only ilegal if you are caught with the valve open. I have been pulled over plenty of times with mine and it sits right between the seats and they do notice it. One cop even talked to me about my truck and it's performance!
I did get pulled over on a daily basis (yes,daily)
when I moved but that's what you get when you have a truck that sits 3 inches off the ground, bright blue with a cowl hood and a dumped dynomax racing bullet (now flowmaster)! I finally yelled at one of the cops when I got pulled over within 30 min. in the same city. I've never been pulled over since. Maybe that's just my luck.
Oh, congrats on your first car (truck)!!
Couldn't have choosen a better one.
Mine was a 82 lebaron convertible (f*#@ing piece of s#$t refrigerator!!!!!!!!!!)
second was a 85 shelby charger T1 w/approx. 280hp
now my ride is a 98 dakota rc that I've had since I was 18.

thx intense =] i love the truck, dodge and chevy
are my fav auto companies but i thought the
s-10 looked kinda wussy and small. dodge
just has a mean look to thier trucks (i think)
after i get the truck paid off a little and put
some more miles on it (10126- since late
august 2001) i want to start modifying it. I live
in Canada though, so i don't want to do
anything that might affect how well it runs in
slightly colder weather. im looking at the kits
suncoastcreations has. i love the ram-air
intake hood that still has the dodge logo on it
=] and the bumper cover is cool
