Message: If it shuts off for a second and back on, check your ignition and wires. Could be a crappy connection. I had a corroded connection going to the distributer that cause mine to shut off and back on frequently. but the bucking and jerking I dont knowwhat to tell you.

Message: I have the same problem. I've also noticed it happens when on a day over 60 degrees and truck has been running for at least 30 minutes and is hot. It cuts off like if I turned off fuel pump. Sometimes for a second or sometimes 10 seconds. If I shut it off, go in the store for 10 minutes, it won't start for 5 minutes. It also shuts off when I'm stuck in traffic. Of course it won't do it at all for the mechanic and I hear,"runs fine". Mechanic tried the crank sensor, didn't work. For me is another story, expecially in a traffic jam. Not fun pushing out of the way to wait 5-15 minutes to let truck cool. Usually starts after rest. Confusion is killing me.
