The last picture on the botom says you can gain HP by installing pre-1992 exhaust manifolds on the 1993-later magnum engines. Does that mean that premagnum headers will fit also??

i would say no, b/c i think the heads or the port chambers are a little different.

It's the engine compartment that's the problem with using premag headers on a mag not the heads. it's the intake side of the heads that have the mitch match problem.

It was not the pre 92 manifolds but ones from 1992 here is the clip from the artical
A slick way to improve performance and maintain a quiet exhaust note is to install large-diameter 1992 exhaust manifolds (top) on 1993-and-newer Magnum engines. The change should be worth about 10 more hp.
just thought I'd clear that up.
actually will that work on a 98 mag engine and is it better than getting headers. I'm looking for cheap mods and i'm sure i can get them cheaper than headers.

i have a 92 and 88 dak 4x4s,just looked and measured where they bolt on.they are the same measurements.the 92 cross over pipe[y-pipe]
is larger.and both exit in the rear.
looks like a good fit on the 88 with a 92 cross over.
my guess the ext manifolds from a 92 would work on
the newer daks too
