Message: If you install some hi-performance "value springs" along with some aluminum Johnson rods and a set of dual muffler bearings you will probably gain around 50 horsepower.

Message: Damn! Are we getting lazy or what?! There are a whole lotta' information on this board regarding performance mods. Use the search button!! Don't mean to be an as*wipe buts its hella annoying! There are 160 pages of information on this board so check them out first!
Anyways, what ratio gears do you have and whats the year?? If you have 3.55s than its going to stay slow. Upgrade to some 3.91s and all the usual "3.9 mods" and you'll be happy.

Message: Definitely get a set of 'performance' muffler bearings... don't get the 'street' ones. They don't give you much of a gain at all, and they cost just as much as the 'performance' ones.
You also could gain another 15+ rear-wheel hp if you get a 'performance' Dewlop shaft. It'll give you more traction too.

Message: I have a 2001 3.9L. I put in Gibson catback hiflow exhaust, stage2 chip, smaller crank pulley, low temp therm and my own ram air intake through a K&N filter. Quite a difference. Driving easy, I boosted mileage from 16 to 20. Of course, when I put the pedal down...

Message: For all your needs just go to:

Check under the parts section, you can find the
Forged Kuhneutson Valve
(AKA "Kneutson, Kanutson") Our superior Kuneutson valves are superior to the inferior kuhneutson valves! For use especially on engines with camshafts. The number one sign of Kuhneutson failure is reduced bore on your engine block! Easily remedy this with a Kuneutson Valve from KaleCo! One per cam shaft.
They even have that super hard to find High Quality Synthetic Blinker Fluid!!!

Message: Allen, muffler bearings are new to the market for our dakots and are still pretty hard to find. While I do think muffler bearings would help make your dak a little quicker, I think the first performance mod should be the new faster accelerating gas pedal. After market gas pedals with the new valve springs can spring to wide open throttle in under one billionth of a second. I believe you can get it from your local auto parts store. The after market gas pedal is far superior to stock and has been known to decrease the quarter mile times by a full second. Another performance mod that really woke up my Dak was the dura lube tires. These tires are lubricated on the outside to decrease resistance to the pavement.
