Message: I just had a Dynomax Super Turbo installed on
my 3.9 Dak. In-cab noise is not objectionable -
once I have the rattling cat replaced, I'll be able
to hear the exhaust music better. It's not loud,
just present. I like it - and my loud cars days
are waaay behind me.

Message: I installed a Flowmaster Deltaflow 50 series. I love the sound at idle. At constant highway speed I don't even notice it. Just loud enough on regular acceleration. I do get slight "drummimg" noise in the cab at about 1500 rpm, but not bad.
I installed it using the standard exhaust tubing and I'm happy with the results. It REALLY works well with the K&N cold air intake I installed.
Flowmaster number was 942552 (I think).

Message: I'll agree with that 1500rpm statement. I love the way the thing sounds at that speed once the engine is hot.

Message: Fits in place of the stock muffler. The Flowmaster is shorter, but because you will be welding it in, rather than clamping like stock, you don't need the overlap. I love the sound.

Message: Yep....just got mine put on today. I quite like it myself. If you punch it during 'takeoff' it gets loud, but not annoyingly so, although eventually, if I find something else that I like the sound of better, I will install it. Nice low rumble at idle, and nice low rumble at cruising speed (any cruising speed). But to be honest, I bought mine more to begin helping with increasing MPG and HP/torque, not just for sound.

Message: for sale... Dynomax #17733, fits exactly in place of stock muffler, "just need two clamps".
Was on my Dakota for about 2 months, before I sold the truck.

Message: Installed a 30" Cherry bomb Glasspack on my 3.9l 1994 Ram Van... sounds great with very little back pressure.
It has a new cat on it.. I'm guessing it's higher flow than stock.
It raps a little bit around 60 mph on the freeway.. but not too bad.. just seems to hit a certain frequency at certain speeds/loads.
I'm keeping it :)
A str8 pipe would probably work good too.
I've read a lot of stuff about how glass packs just make noise and cause a lot of back pressure, but it's not true.
The OLD style glass packs (some) had louvers in the inside that DID cause a lot of turbulance in them. The new Cherry Bombs don't have louvers.. just tiny dimples.
Go with a Cherry Bomb glass pack :)

Message: Go with either the delta flow 40 series, or the regular 40 series. the regular sounds a little bit more agressive and is the loudest muffler they make.
