Subject: V8 T/B on 3.9 V6 IP: Logged
Message: Here I go again on gas mileage questions. But, if I can get better performance too? Why not. What gas mileage (steady speed/cruise on-highway) do you get with a factory V8 throttle body on a 3.9V6/Auto/4x2 versus the stock throttle body? I have done almost all the typical mods (intake and exhaust, T-stat, plugs, IAT). I definitely will do the T/B mods (port/polish) myself. But if the larger T/B will actually also improve my highway mileage I'll get it and then do the port/polish work. Thanks all!!

Message: There is such a thing as too big. If you port the TB (polishing not necessary unless you're going for looks), make sure you don't touch the bottom end of the bores or you'll need larger blades.
