When you buy a set of semi-metallic brake pads do you get the anti squeal compound free? I bought a set of brake pads at Auto Zone in Dallas and they charged me about $2 for the anti-squeal compound that you put on the back of the brake pads. The last time I purchased this product the anti-squeal compound was free when you purchased the brakes. I think Auto Zone is doing something unethical. What do you think?

business is business bud. They used to come in the brake pad box for free, with certain mnfc.

By buying the anti squeal compound, you should get more to use. And may need it all with some brake shoes.
