Hi has anyone tied or is it even possible to swap out a 3.9 and put in a 4.7 l, I think I have the 42RE Auto trans.

Anything is possible with enough ca$h. You'll need the engine, transmission, wiring harnesses, PCM and TCM.
Alot cheaper and easier to 1) trade it in on a Dak with a 4.7 2) swap in a 360 or 318 3) light it and collect the insurance.
