Message: Use a fuseable link connection to the negative post of the battery. Is the ant grounded to a paint free section of the truck frame? Noise filters are basically worthless.
Post this question on the usenet cb newsgroup.

Message: Yeah the antenna is mounted to the top of my safari rack on paint free metal ,and yeah the buzz goes up and down with the rpms,i went to this cb place in San Diego called mud shack and the guy basically shood me out of there and said buy my cb it wont do that or else yer screwed, but i hate to go from a 300 plus dollar cb to a 75 dollar one he wanted me to buy,he said theres nothing i can do to make the noise go away period!!!but i dont buy that,so i look to the people that have solved this problem in the past.

Message: How many watts is the amp? If it's a large one the alternator may not be able to handle it. How old is the battery?
