 Subject: changing stock cd player

Hey guys, I have a 2000 cc with the infinity sound system. The cd player in anal and only plays my burnt cds once in a while so I'm going to be putting my pioneer cd player in it soon. I already have the pioneer so I figured this is a good reason to put it in. My question is as follows: I have heard that the infinity sound system has amps on each speaker, does this mean that I am going to have to run all new wires?

I just went through this same thing. You do not need to rewire it but you have to add a relay to the wiring into the head unit. I just went to a local stereo place and they explained how to do it and gave me the relay. I added another amp for a sub but I think you still have to get the relay.

does the stock cd player work?? You said it doesn't play burnt cds but it plays other cd's?
