Subject: Governor??? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 99 dakota slt club cab and i was out on the highway this morning and my governor stoped me at 100mph.When i bought my truck the dealer put 255R 70 R15's on it.It still had the factory spare tire witch is a little bit smaller.I have that on the right rear.Would that mess anything up?And say i am going slower then i really am?My RPM's stayed at around 4,000 and dont go past 100mph.The gas pedal was to the floor too.Any help on the would be great

Message: Most trucks have a speed limiter in the computer, depending on the model they usually limit you between 99 and 104mph. Could also be that you don't have enough horsepower to go any faster than that. My truck won't go above 108 without nitrous and i have quite a few mods.
